FAQ

  • If I take out a monthly subscription can I pause or cancel at any time?
    • Yes you may pause or cancel any monthly subscription from your Account page. Your access will terminate at the end of the last subscription period. So if your subscription runs from the 1st of the month and you cancel on the 20th of the month, then you will still have access until the end of that month. No further monthly payments will be taken after you have cancelled your account.
  • If I take out a monthly subscription will I get access to all the site’s content?
    • Yes for as long as you maintain your subscription you will have access to all the content available on the site.
  • How do I access the Premium content I have bought?
    • When your payment has been processed you will be returned to your account page. Click on the Subscriptions tab in your account panel and you will see the new content in the subscription list. Click on the name of the course you have bought and the page containing the video course will open.
  • Do I have to Sign Up to access and buy the Premium courses?
    • The free content on the site is available to view without requiring Sign Up. This allows you to get an idea of the style and quality of the videos. For access to Premium courses you need to Sign Up so that we can create an account for you to allow us to provide access to the protected content.
  • Can I download the videos?
    • No the videos are only available to view on demand using the video player embedded in this web site.
  • I have bought a video course that states I have lifetime access to the video. How will I access the video course should this web site close?
    • In the unlikely event of this site no longer operating you will be given the opportunity to download the videos prior to that closure. They will also be made publicly available on YouTube or Vimeo.
  • I have a medical condition do I need to see my Doctor prior to starting one of your Pilates courses?
    • Yes it is always very sensible to contact your doctor and discuss the suitability of these exercises prior to starting any exercise. Please check our Terms and Conditions to see the sort of risks that need to be considered.
  • I have never tried Pilates before, or I haven’t performed any Pilates exercises for a long time, how should I safely go about starting?
    • Please look at the Introduction to Pilates video course. This is available in ‘Free Session’ section of the website. This short introductory video takes a quick look at the three foundations of Pilates – Alignment, Breathing and Core. It explains how to find a neutral spine and pelvis, the basics of lateral breathing and how to “zip and tuck” to engage your core. It is an absolute essential watch for anyone who hasn’t done Pilates before.
  • I have purchased the monthly subscription. How do I access the Pilates at Home Facebook group page so that I can upload my videos for analysis?
    • Use the Pilates at Home link here, or on the Premium Courses page and ask to join the group. Once your membership has been confirmed you can post your video directly onto the page. Please allow up to 7 days for the analysis to be published.
  • My internet speed is very slow, will your videos play without continually buffering and showing a blue circle in the video?
    • The basic resolution of the videos is 720p which most internet connections should be able to handle without buffering. However each of the videos has an option in the player (right hand lower part of the player screen) to set the resolution lower at 360p. This will reduce the bandwidth required for the video and it will play with less buffering, albeit at slightly lower video quality. If you live in an area where internet connection is still by dial-up modem then we’re sorry, but the videos will probably not play adequately.
